I was in a summer camp between 3rd and 4th grade. I somehow ended up drawing this silly face:

The person sitting next to me (i never talked to her again) added a little body to it. We called it a derp, but we didnt know how to spell that word, so thus was born: the Dirp.

At some point i watched My Dad the Bounty Hunter, and there was a big pug-looking thing that they called a Moog. I took that name and made a dirp version.

Years later, after i had forgotten about My Dad the Bounty Hunter, i decided there needed to be a kind of moog that looked like a dog. so i made one. I called it the Pug Moog.
